Jim Nondorf, HK 1994
Jim supported the Kroks in the 1990’s when he was working for Professor John Donovan, HK 1984, alongside Paul Lincoln and Trearty Bartley (HK 2004). Incidentally, Jim and Paul started on the same day in September of 1990 and Trearty started two years later in 1992.
Jim loved a cappella music. At Yale, he sang with the Baker’s Dozen before joining the Whiffenpoofs for his senior year. When he began working at the Cambridge Technology Group, he quickly developed a rapport with the Krokodiloes and would often help fill in missing vocal parts with the ad hoc Krok alumni groups who would sing the CTG concerts when the Kroks were away on summer tour. As Jim rose to be the Chief Operating Officer, his support of Trearty Bartley’s efforts on behalf of the Kroks greatly contributed to the financial stability of the group. Jim’s expansion of Professor Donovan’s business overseas contributed to the ability of Kroks to sing all over the world even after graduating.
One highlight for the Kroks with Jim was traveling to Bermuda to celebrate Professor Donovan’s wedding to Linda in 1995.
After leaving Cambridge Technology Group Jim went on to work in admissions at Yale and then the University of Chicago.
