Jack was born in New York on July 16, 1930, the elder son of John A. Kiggen, Jr. and Mary Elizabeth (Dunbar) Kiggen. He grew up in Montclair, NJ, where he attended local schools and then graduated from the Hill School in Pottstown, PA, in 1948. He went on to graduate from Harvard College and Harvard Business School (MBA and AMP) and spent more than 30 years of his business career working abroad, starting as a country Manager for Colgate-Palmolive in Asia and moving on to international vice presidencies with the Foremost Foods, Smith Kline & French, Standard Brands and Nabisco. Following his first retirement from Nabisco he became a consultant to the Campbell Soup Company in the Middle East, North Africa and Indian Subcontinent, after which he returned briefly to Nabisco in North Africa to conclude his career.
He served in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Korean War and attained the rank of Captain in the Reserve.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Nora Unsworth Kiggen; his son, John of Tampa, FL; his daughter, Elizabeth of New York City; his daughter, Justine (Simao) of Cape Town, South Africa; and his son, Liam (Irina) of Zurich, Switzerland. He is also survived by his stepsons, Marc (Lydie) and Philippe (Joyce) Attia of Paris, France; three grandchildren and six step-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents Jack was preceded in death by his brother, James D. Kiggen and his former wife, Elizabeth O’Neill Kiggen.
Funeral services will be private and at the convenience of the family.
